Artificial Intelligence (AI) is pretty much everywhere these days, especially in the tech world.  I've covered AI in Drupal on OSTraining's YouTube channel a fair bit as it relates to Drupal.

This morning I found Google's NotebookLM.  Wow! (Note, it's still experimental)

You can upload/reference up to 50 sources and it will create outlines, overviews, FAQ's, Study Guides - all based on the content you provide.

For fun, I referenced the last sermon I preached at my church (I was filling in for the Pastor who was on vacation).  You can watch the entire thing here - it's 42 minutes long - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XKemBc0FqI (like I said - it's long...)

Google's NotebookLM created a 10-minute, 2-person podcast that is actually really good.

A few observations:

  1. LLM's don't get humor (yet).  I told a story about Billy Graham at the beginning of the message that was a made up anecdote - pure humor - not true.  The audience got it, but the LLM didn't. In the podcast, they referred to it as if it actually happened.
  2. In the story about the incident in the store, the two women spoke to the same person, not a different person later on as referenced in the podcast.
  3. You can't provide any parameters around the podcast.  If I wanted a different style, different emphasis, give it a slightly different prompt - I can't do it.  Reminder: it's experimental.

These are pretty minor but still significant since you can't edit the podcast later.

Here's another example for the presentation I did at Drupal GovCon called "Waiting for Starshot? Don't! Get Layout Builder Working Right Now".

This is incredible - and it's only going to get better.  Of course, all the questions about the ethical use of AI bubble to the surface when you listen to the podcast.  It sounds very real.  Call me "blown away".

I’m available for one-on-one consulting calls.

I want to schedule a meeting!
