Goldwing

It was 37F when I left Parkersburg WV this morning.  I wanted to ride Hwy 50 all the way into DC.  

Highway 50 runs the width of the country, starting (or ending) in Washington DC and passes through Aurora WV, a tiny hamlet along the way.

For years I have eaten at a family restaurant there but sadly, it has closed down.

I took 2 days to ride to Asheville, NC last week.  It's only 360 miles, but I wanted to take another ride on the "Tail of the Dragon" and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Tail of the Dragon (https://tailofthedragon.com) is US 129 bordered by the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee and North Carolina.
